The stage is set for Selfridges’ globally renowned Christmas windows, meticulously installed over a span of 100 hours by a dedicated team exceeding 50 individuals.

In collaboration with Selfridges, Max Allen has crafted a captivating ‘ensemble’ of Christmas characters, each of whom has taken on the role of A-List performer in our spectacular Showtime! Within the ten windows of Selfridges, each is dressed based on theatre performers such as the Star of the Show or the Diva. Every costume has been meticulously handcrafted in North London by Max and a team of skilled product designers and embroiderers.

Step down the elevator as Selfridges unveils its London Christmas Shop in a newly dedicated area on the lower ground floor. Transformed into a spacious 4,000 sq ft festive haven. Here, patrons can immerse themselves in the joy of the season while perusing a vast assortment of decorations. There are even Christmas cards, wrapping paper, crackers, stocking fillers, lights, and trees.

Hundreds of Christmas Decorations await!

This Christmas emporium showcases an expanded array of decorations, boasting a total of 1,300 ornaments, marking a 12% increase from the previous year. Customers are presented with an extensive selection, ranging from traditional baubles to culinary-inspired décor and quirky must-have items. Notably, the shop features 10 Selfridges icons, including the previously sold-out iconic Selfridges yellow bag ornament from last year. Additionally, 60% of the offerings available in the Christmas Shop are Project Earth labelled for having a sustainable attribute.

Selfridges Own Unique Decorations

Selfridges has identified six themes in this year’s Christmas Shop in a range of colours and styles. There is a Selfridges Christmas tree and even a London theme tree. 60% of all of the decorations are exclusive to Selfridges and not found anywhere else in the UK. What’s more, Selfridges teamed up with Benjamin Pollock’s Toyshop, one of the oldest toyshops in London, to create a series of dioramas on Orchard Street Christmas Market that celebrate the fantasy of stagecraft, using reimagined archive imagery.

This year there is a new bar! The Kit Kat Club within Selfridges. Represents a groundbreaking concept, this unique bar experience brings the seven-time Olivier award-winning theatre production to life, taking over the Lounge located on Selfridges’ fourth floor. Guests are treated to an exceptional setting where they can savour Champagne cocktails and cuvées from Moët & Chandon, the show’s esteemed Official Champagne Partner. Throughout the day and evening, the Prologue dancers from the sensational production transport patrons to the captivating ambience of Weimar Germany during select intervals.
