I suggest hopping off of the tube at either Waterloo Station or Westminster bridge and starting at the Southbank Centre Market. Then you can meander your way down the river passing some great sites such as the Southbank skate park, the National theatre , numerous pubs and the Globe theatre before finally ending up at Borough for Christmas by the river market, Borough market, Hays Galleria, Tower Bridge and even HMS Belfast.

The Urban Spoon Christmas Market is run by Tudor markets and they specialise in setting up some cosy Christmas markets. This Christmas market is held on the Southbank near the National Theatre. This is a slightly bigger market and has lots more food on offer. It is also more of a traditional German Christmas market with beautiful wooden chalets filled with lights and music.
You can get your mulled, wine or cider, or even or crêpes here. There are also lots of chain eateries nearby and you can nip in to Gabriels Wharf which has lots of lovely boutique shops too!
